Improv
Improv is collaborative by nature, uncertain, surprising – often delightful and sometimes profound. It has taught me values that I put into practice in my work and daily life. Click the images below to find out more about these values!
I enjoy teaching and performing improv. I was the Course Assistant for TAPS 103: Beginning Improvising taught by Dan Klein at Stanford, and I have taught workshops on professional team building, public speaking and storytelling across the Bay Area focusing on improvisational theater techniques that teach spontaneity, cooperation, team building, and rapid problem solving, emphasizing common sense, attention to reality and helping your partner. After graduating from Stanford and moving to Los Angeles I continued to study improv with the Upright Citizens Brigade. I have co-created hundreds of stories and characters, perform in shows ranging from short form scenes to fully improvised three act stage plays and musicals at dorms on campus to improv festivals, tournaments and independent shows in San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York. If you want to get a taste, I’ve includes recordings of some shows I did over the years with the Stanford Improvisors (SImps)!
